Gulliver'S Travels

Lemuel Gulliver tells the story of his fantastic adventures on the island of Lilliput where the people are tiny, and their self-importance laughable; in Brobdingnag where the people are giants and Gulliver is made to feel his own insignificance; in Laputa, the land of futile science; and finally in the land of the Houyhnhnms, where horses are endowed with reason while human beings are not.

Lemuell Gulliver raconte ses aventures sur l’île de Lilliput, peuplée d’êtres humains de petite taille et vaniteux. A Brobdingnag, peuplée de géants ; à Laputa, terre des sciences futiles ; enfin au pays des Houyhnhnms, où les chevaux ont le don de la raison et les êtres humains n’en ont pas. Une satire piquante et intemporelle, qui propose une lecture aussi bien impitoyable que drôle sur la race humaine.
